It amazes me the news these days with all of the doom and gloom. It was funny to hear Bill Clinton offer Obama some advice of try to be positive and offer hope to people. While I see both sides of it, I am leaning towards Clinton’s comment.

Picking up the newspaper, watching the news and hearing about Natural Disasters, Economy, Crime, etc can really get to you. We need to turn this crap off and focus on reaching out to people, the hurting.

Think about this — “there is a natural disaster happening in someones life everyday – that is not on the news.” I have said this on many news outlets and continue to believe it to be true. The fact is that we do not need a storm, earthquake, etc as there are disasters happening in peoples lives right around the corner from where we live or work.

My point is simple – open your eyes – do something nice to raise someones self esteem – what about buying someone lunch in back of you, washing their car for them or paying their tolls at a toll booth. The simple question is how would you feel if someone did that to you. Good ,right?

I have thought about this a lot recently as a very special older lady told me that she was at breakfast and someone bought her meal. They did not identify themselves but just did it. She lit up! So my question for you is who can you light up.

People need hope – lets help them get it! I “hope” you will!
